Hunt for Chibok girls will take almost years

The Minister of Defence, Brig. Gen. Munir Dan-Ali, has said it will take years to rescue the remaining 19t5 Chibok school girls abducted by Boko Haram in 2014. Dan-Ali said this in an interview he granted the Hausa Service of the Voice of America monitored in Abuja on Tuesday. Boko Haram terrorists abducted 276 school girls from a secondary school in Chibok on April 14, 2014. Although some of the girls have been found, 195 are still missing. Meanwhile, the missing girls’ parents have vowed they will continue to march on the Presidential Villa,Abuja, every day until they are granted audience by President Muhammadu Buhari. The parents, who were again refused access to the State House on Tuesday, claimed they had become the president’s enemies after voting him into power. Lagos State gives command for the execution of Rev King, others

The Lagos Government is set to execute inmates on death row in the state prisons, including the General-Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly, Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, a.k.a Rev. King. The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Adeniji Kazeem, who made this known at a news conference on Tuesday, said the development was at the instruction of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode. He said that the state had begun reviewing the matter after prison officials complained of the highhandedness of some death row inmates who felt that they had certain rights which excluded them from being executed. The Attorney-General assured that, unlike previous administrations, Governor Ambode would sign the necessary documents to execute those on death row. Geils Band — which churned out 80s hits like “Centerfold” and “Love Stinks” — was found dead Tuesday inside his Massachusetts home, a report says. The 71-year-old was discovered unresponsive by police in Groton at around 4 p.m. after officers conducted a well-fare check at the residence, according to WCVB-TV Boston .
